MediaCorp's Corporate Social Responsibility

MediaCorp’s vision is to be the top media company in Asia and being “top” means a company with a heart, driven by a belief that our successes should positively impact the communities around us.

Its Corporate Social Responsibility programme comprises staff volunteerism, fund-raising, overseas outreach, education, environment and free media. At the corporate level, MediaCorp adopts two charities while its radio stations and television channels continue to support other charitable efforts. To create a culture of caring for the environment, MediaCorp adopted the MacRitchie Reservoir.

Each month, MediaCorp staff volunteer their time and effort to organise activities at the two adopted charities and the MacRitchie Reservoir, bringing cheer to the less privileged and helping to promote a clean, green and beautiful environment.

For its overseas initiatives MediaCorp partnered Habitat for Humanity to build homes for villages in Batam, Indonesia.  MediaCorp also started the Village HELP (Healing the Environment, Liberating the People) programme, helping farmers in Indonesia and housewives in India to attain sustainable living and break the cycle of generational poverty in their villages.

MediaCorp invests in Singapore’s next generation of media professionals by sponsoring book prizes and awards at local tertiary institutions.

MediaCorp is a member of the UN Global Compact. To view our Communication on Progress report, please go to -
