New drama co-production in the works as Mediacorp and Screenworks Asia Ltd announce partnership

Singapore, 2 December 2020 – Mediacorp, Singapore’s largest content creator and national media network, and Screenworks Asia Ltd, a production subsidiary of Taiwanese content company CATCHPLAY, have sealed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to co-produce a brand new Chinese-language drama series, slated for release in the fourth quarter of 2021.

As part of the MOU announced during day 2 of the Asia TV Forum & Market 2020 ONLINE+ (ATF Online+), Mediacorp and Screenworks Asia will leverage each other’s strengths by bringing together talent, production capabilities and capital investments in a joint effort to engage a wider base of audiences in the region and beyond through new, exciting content.

Specifically, both companies will co-produce a new anthology series put together by a group of award-winning filmmakers who are no strangers to prestigious international film festivals and Golden Horse Awards. The production will feature artistes from both Singapore and Taiwan. More details will be announced at a later date.
