Mogana Nair
Mogana's career is a dynamic journey through the bustling newsroom, where she's been a versatile force as a news editor, reporter and presenter.
Her reporting ventures have taken her to the heart of major local events, from the General Elections to National Day Parades. She's also been on the scene during the wake of Singapore's First Prime Minister, Lee Kuan Yew. Beyond local events, Mogana has been deployed to regional sporting spectacles such as the Singapore Grand Prix Formula 1 Night Races and the SEA Games for special coverage.
Mogana kick-started her Mediacorp News journey in 2006 after honing her skills at Walt Disney Television Asia Pacific, where she produced on-air promos. Her earlier years involved crafting programmes for the local Tamil channel in Singapore. Notably, Mogana lent her linguistic expertise during the initial stages of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 as a translator at the Ministry of Communications and Information.
In 2009, she stepped into the spotlight as the host of a captivating television travelogue series, taking viewers on a cultural and culinary exploration of the Mediterranean, with a particular focus on Italy and Malta.
Mogana's academic achievements include a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration and a B.A. (Hons.) degree in Film Making from the University of Hull and Middlesex University, respectively.
