Yvonne Lim
Yvonne Lim was the first runner-up in the Singapore Polytechnic Beauty Quest and a finalist with Go Magazine’s Cover Girl Contest before she joined Star Search in 1997, Singapore’s talent search. She was offered a full-time artiste contract with Mediacorp and was given the lead role in her debut TV drama, Starting Point, where she played a young entrepreneur, which won a lasting impression in every audience’s heart.
With a natural flair for acting, Yvonne plays every character with such ease, winning raves from critics and audiences alike. Her versatility is also shown in various blockbuster drama serials ranging from the period drama Return Of The Condor Heroes to the award winning Stepping Out. In 2002, she once again impressed viewers with her acting in The Reunion and The Vagrant, which became 2 of the highest-rated drama series of the year. In the same year, she played a major role in the Mediacorp / Asia TV (Hong Kong) regional co-production Innocently Guilty, a drama featuring regional stars like Anita Yuen, Wong Yat Wah, Kent Cheng and Samuel Lee. Her remarkable performance made audiences in Hong Kong sit up and notice her, which subsequently secured a commercial endorsement deal for her in the territory.
Yvonne was awarded Best Actress in Star Awards 2007 for Metamorphosis and was also nominated Best Actress in Star Awards 2015 for World at Your Feet.
