Gao Yixin

Gao Yixin is a DJ at Mediacorp Radio Capital 958. Driven by a strong interest in news and current affairs, Yixin joined Mediacorp Radio Chinese Newsroom upon graduating from the School of Communication and Information, Nanyang Technological University, in 2005. Before that, she was an intern in the radio newsroom and had a stint hosting as a part-time DJ at Capital 958.

Yixin won Mediacorp News Award – Best Radio story in 2006. In the story, she went undercover with a male colleague as Subutex buyers to report on the illicit supply of Subutex pills.

Yixin became the full-time DJ for Capital 958 in 2010 to further honed her hosting skills. She is currently the anchor host for the station's morning show that focuses on the current affairs and social issues in Singapore. The live call-in segment invites listeners to call in and share their views on a wide range of topics. She enjoys candid discussions with listeners on issues that they are concerned about.

Yixin also hosted a series of the live radio interview with cabinet members, the first of its kind in Singapore Radio history, and put across sharp questions from listeners to Ministers. She also hosted a Hello Singapore outdoor series《巴刹营养学》 in 2016.

As a working mother to two children, Yixin is keen on parenting, work-life balance, and holistic wellness.
