1) What would you consider to be the highlight of your internship experience?

I embarked on a six-month internship with TODAY. The highlight of my internship was getting to meet lots of newsmakers and exploring different places of Singapore to take photos! Once, while working on The Big Read about households saving cost by going green, I met a couple who had solar panels installed on the roofs of their home. It was very interesting to find out more about the reasons behind their actions and how they were making their house greener, and it was a fun experience climbing up onto the roof to get the shot!

2) Is your upcoming role similar to what you did during your internship?

Yes, my upcoming role as a Visual Journalist at News & Current Affairs will be similar to my internship. The practical skills and hands-on experience I gained during my internship have definitely prepared me for my new role.

3) What made you want to return to Mediacorp?

I feel like I still have more to learn from the job and this will be a good opportunity for me to continue honing my skills as a photographer, videographer, editor and journalist!

Try applying for roles in different parts of the industry to see what you like! There are lots of interesting experiences to be gained everywhere.

5) Finish the sentence: A day in my role at Mediacorp is…

…a new experience every day!
