1)  What would you consider to be the highlight of your internship experience?

I had the rare opportunity to experience the production for both Channel 5’s KIN and Sunny Side Up – KIN was coming to an end and Sunny Side Up just started. Getting to see the drama that I was following consistently come to an end was truly a highlight of my internship experience.

2) Is your current role similar to what you did during your internship?

I started as a production intern and now work as a Production Coordinator. As a coordinator, I would need to prepare scheduling for shoots and manage different aspects behind the scenes. It was something I had an interest in, and what my supervisors allowed me to dabble in during my internship, so I was lucky enough to have the chance to really discover what I liked.

3) What made you return to Mediacorp?

I returned to Mediacorp as the people I worked with were willing to teach me about the role and the industry, and it is also a safe place to learn more. Returning so soon after finishing my internship, it feels like I never left!

4) Any advice to students or recent graduates looking for internship opportunities in the media industry?

Do not be afraid to try everything that is offered to you. People are more than willing to teach you what you want to know and answer any questions you may have, and give advice based on their own experiences.

5) Finish the sentence: A day in my role at Mediacorp is…
… full of surprises, but full of fun!
