Celebrate Chinese New Year with an unforgettable evening of performances that bring tradition and modernity together, as we step into the new year with renewed energy and hope.

Inspired by the unbridled spirit of the horse – a symbol of strength, courage and forward momentum – Chinese New Year Eve Special 2026 unites tradition and modernity in a vibrant showcase that inspires viewers to charge into the year ahead with confidence, determination and hope. Hosted by the dynamic quartet of Guo Liang, Lee Teng, Hazelle Teo and Cheryl Chou, the show opens with Thousand Horses Galloping, a rousing dance number featuring Tyler Ten, Zhai Siming, He Ying Ying and Denise Camilla Tan alongside Dance Ensemble Singapore. As the show unfolds, tradition takes centre stage as Zoe Tay, Chen Hanwei, Tiffany Ho and June Tan present a calligraphy dance that weaves expressive movement with live brushwork. Adding a dynamic twist, Romeo Tan, Herman Keh, Sheryl Ang and Jernelle Oh team up for a striking song-and-skate spectacle that fuses music, motion and momentum.

Beyond the visual showcases, music and laughter anchor the evening. The stage ignites as a lineup of household names – including Xiang Yun, Hong Hui Fang, Aileen Tan, Marcus Chin, Desmond Tan, Paige Chua, Pierre Png, and Carrie Wong– belt out a catchy playlist of festive anthems and high-energy favorites. Adding a generous dose of festive humour, the iconic “OG Gang”, comprising veterans Chen Shucheng, Zhu Houren and Richard Low, inject their signature wit with a lively blend of stand-up comedy and song.

Also featured are a series of distinctive cross-cultural showcases, including a Teochew opera performance by Kym Ng and child actor Asher Tay, as well as a creative “Green Drumming” segment that spotlights sustainability through upcycled instruments, featuring Desmond Ng, Jeffrey Chan, Gao Meigui, Hazelle Teo, Cai Cheng Jun, Jona Chung and Kharissa Pundarika. Capturing the season’s optimism, the celebration culminates in the premiere of Mediacorp’s 2026 Chinese New Year anthem Money Money 马力马力, performed by Xiang Yun, Zhu Zeliang and Star Search 2024 champion Tiffany Ho, sending viewers galloping into the new year with infectious energy.
