General Election 2020 Programmes and Coverage
Mediacorp will be providing comprehensive coverage of General Election 2020 in all four languages across all its platforms – television, digital, radio, meWATCH, meLISTEN, and a variety of its social media channels.
Singapore, 29 June 2020 – Mediacorp will be providing comprehensive coverage of General Election 2020 in all four languages across all its platforms – television, digital, radio, meWATCH, meLISTEN, and a variety of its social media channels.
The coverage kicks off with two special Nomination Day news programmes on 30 June on CNA and Channel 8 that will be simulcast on meWATCH, cna.asia and 8world, and also on audio on meLISTEN, CNA938 and CAPITAL 958. Also, meWATCH, cna.asia and 8world will carry livestreams of the thank-you speeches from all nine Nomination Centres.
From Nomination Day, television news bulletins across all languages will carry extensive reporting on the election, with some bulletins such as the news on Channel 5 and Channel 8 being extended each night.
There will be two Party Political Broadcasts to be aired on 2 July and 9 July. In addition, a new feature of this election will be the Constituency Political Broadcasts that will be aired on Mediacorp’s Channel 5 from 3 July at 7.00pm onwards, as well as livestreamed via meWATCH, cna.asia, 8world.com, and CNA’s YouTube and Facebook.
Mediacorp's election coverage will culminate with Polling Day programmes in all four languages across all platforms.
