Media veteran re-joins MediaCorp

MediaCorp is pleased to announce the appointment of Man Shu Sum as Managing Director, MediaCorp Raintree Pictures.

Singapore, 21 October 2009 – MediaCorp is pleased to announce the appointment of Man Shu Sum as Managing Director, MediaCorp Raintree Pictures.

An industry veteran with over 30 years of experience in Asia’s media industry, Man Shu Sum has held senior management positions in the then Television Corporation of Singapore (TCS), MediaWorks Singapore and the Media Development Authority of Singapore (MDA). Prior to joining MediaCorp, he was the CEO of Mark Burnett Productions Asia.

MediaCorp CEO Lucas Chow says, "I am pleased to welcome Man – as he is affectionately known – back to MediaCorp. Man’s experience in and knowledge of the international film industry will be a boon to Raintree Pictures as it gears up for its next phase of development. I am confident that Man will help to further expand our content business and international footprint, as we strive to achieve our vision of being Asia’s top media company."

Man Shu Sum joins MediaCorp in December and will report to Lucas Chow.
