Mediacorp rolls out mewatch, melisten, merewards and meconnect
Rebranding underscores Mediacorp’s commitment to deliver more personalised digital experiences
Singapore, 30 January 2020 - From today, Mediacorp’s digital services Toggle, meradio and meclub will be respectively known as mewatch, melisten and merewards, signalling a fresh chapter in the national media network’s drive to deliver experiences designed around consumers’ preferences and consumption habits. To raise the bar in providing convenience to its audiences, Mediacorp is also introducing meconnect, a single sign-on platform that offers subscribers seamless access to all its content and services in the digital space.
Bringing together Mediacorp’s popular digital services under the “me” umbrella harmonises the branding of the platforms which carry the full suite of original content from Mediacorp, across genres and languages. More importantly, it emphasises the focus of these services on meeting individual consumers’ needs.
mewatch, a richer video experience for all
mewatch is a total video destination, allowing audiences free access to on-demand Made-in- Singapore content including dramas1, entertainment, news, sports programmes and live shows; as well as subscription-based content from Mediacorp’s partners like HBO, tvN Movies and beIN Sports.
melisten, a more personalised digital listening experience
melisten is Mediacorp’s free digital audio service that aims to deliver a more personalised digital listening experience, thanks to an array of innovative features. Users can access podcasts, curated playlists and enjoy live radio streaming where listeners can connect with their favourite DJs from all of Mediacorp’s 11 radio stations.
merewards, an exclusive one-stop rewards platform
And adding on to Mediacorp’s new offerings is merewards, a one-stop platform with exclusive deals and discounts, as well as cashbacks when members shop, dine or travel. Privileges include a brand new catalogue of rewards, birthday treats, unique travel experiences, lifestyle product launches and F&B perks – all easily available when one signs up to merewards.
meconnect, providing seamless access to Mediacorp
To access all the digital properties mentioned above, users will only need to log on to meconnect, Mediacorp’s universal single sign-on service to start personalising their experiences. Existing registered users will have their accounts automatically migrated to meconnect2.
Mediacorp’s Head of Marketing and Communications, Oliver Chong, said, “More than just being a series of name changes, the inception of mewatch, melisten, merewards and meconnect well and truly embodies our focus on the very people we serve. With all of Mediacorp’s digital services now sharing a common “me” platform, our aim is to build greater synergy between the consumer experience and what our brand stands for. We look forward to creating more “Made for You” experiences for our audiences as we continue to roll out more personalisation features in the near future.”
The mewatch, melisten, and merewards apps3 are now available for immediate download on the App Store and Google Play. Existing app users of Toggle, meradio and meclub do not need to download the new apps and can instead update their apps from App Store or Google Play Store.
1 Audiences can catch local dramas on mewatch before they are broadcast on TV.
2 meconnect will provide seamless access to mewatch, melisten and merewards initially, before progressively being made available to other Mediacorp digital properties such as CNA and 8world.
3 Apps for Smart TVs will be released progressively over the next two weeks.
