Star Awards 2021 – Unveiling the Top 60 most popular artistes in Singapore
Singapore, 9 March 2021 – Mediacorp is thrilled to announce the Top 60 nominees of Star Awards 2021! Join us for a star-studded night as they compete for a coveted spot in the Top 10 Most Popular Female and Male Artistes. This is the most number of nominees to date, and the bumper crop is a reflection and acknowledgement of the work that the artistes have put in over the past two years.
As we bring you a bigger Star Awards 2021 showcasing two years of productions and talents on 18 April, we hope that audiences will be delighted with the increase in the number of stars they can support and vote for.
To add to the excitement and anticipation, this year’s Star Awards will feature a backstage live marathon providing exclusive behind-the-scenes updates, interviews with artistes, as well as some surprises during the ceremony.
In the lead-up to the main programme, the 60 names were revealed through a virtual media conference held today at Mediacorp Theatre. These artistes represent the cream of the crop of the local Chinese entertainment scene, and were identified via a poll of 1,000 people representing a wide demograpic across Singapore’s population conducted by an accredited market research company.
