Will yours be the last palm standing?

This Saturday, secure your spot at the Mediacorp Subaru Last Palm Standing roadshow at Cathay Cineleisure

Singapore, 29 August 2019
– Think you’ve got the grit? Then bare it! Join us at the 18th edition of the exciting Mediacorp Subaru Last Palm Standing, one of Asia’s largest and toughest endurance competitions to be held at Ngee Ann City Civic Plaza on 2 November 2019. The winner will win a brand-new Subaru XV 2.0i-S EyeSight worth S$76,8001

Four hundred participants from Singapore, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam will once again fight it out in the Mediacorp Subaru Last Palm Standing, formerly known as the Mediacorp Subaru Car Challenge. They will battle fatigue and weather conditions to be the last person remaining with his or her palm on a Subaru car. If the winner beats the current record time of 82 hours and 16 minutes, he or she will also receive the COE.

Roadshow at Cathay Cineleisure (31 August 2019)

To kick start the competition, a special roadshow will be held at Cathay Cineleisure on 31 August 2019, 12pm to 8pm. For the first time ever, members of the public will be able to register and gain direct confirmation of their competition slot at the roadshow on the spot. Those who are unable to attend the roadshow can also sign up online to ballot for remaining unfilled spots, if any. The online sign-up details will be shared after the roadshow.

There will also be a mini 18-minute endurance challenge for the public to have a taste of the competition. Mediacorp artistes participating in this year’s Charity Challenge will also make an appearance at the roadshow between 4pm and 5pm.

Mediacorp Charity Challenge

Alongside the main competition, the special Mediacorp Charity Challenge will also make its comeback to raise funds for the President’s Star Charity (PSC) in support of the President’s Challenge. Helmed by Mediacorp celebrities Sheila Sim, Ya Hui, He Ying Ying, Denise Camilla Tan, Joel Choo, Nick Teo, Jarrell Huang and Ke Le, this year’s challenge will see past winners of the Mediacorp Subaru Car Challenge joining in to battle for the honours. Members of the public will be able to show support for their efforts by donating to the PSC via various donation mechanisms, to be announced closer to date.
