After eight weeks of intense competition, Gao Mei Gui 高美贵 triumphantly took home the champion title at the SPOP WAVE! Grand Final held earlier this evening at Capitol Theatre Singapore. The 32-year-old producer-presenter was crowned after edging out fellow finalists Ridhwan 任毅翔 and Sherly Devonne Ng 黄艺萱 with her impressive singing prowess and charismatic stage presence.
Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic and the resultant safety measures, over 350 local buskers have not been able to perform on Singapore’s streets.
