Singapore, 27 November 2015 – Mediacorp clinched the Media Sales & Marketing Team of the Year award at the 2015 Singapore Advertising Hall of Fame Awards held at the Gardens by the Bay last night.
Attended by the who’s who in advertising and organized by The Institute of Advertising Singapore (IAS), the awards ceremony presented over 20 individual, team and company awards representing Singapore’s most stellar works in the past year. In line with the theme ‘True Brilliance Can’t Be Ignored’, this year’s awards celebrate the importance of innovative selling, and the talents behind them.
Mediacorp’s winning team came up with an ‘SG50- Design a Tee’ campaign which impressed a panel comprising the industry’s most respected marketing and creative practitioners.
The campaign sought to galvanise Singaporeans as part of the nation’s Golden Jubilee celebrations, and provided multiple touchpoints for sponsors to reach out to Singaporeans. With an Omni-channel concept in mind, the team partnered SG50 Programme Office and dENiZEN to launch a tee-shirt design campaign that was promoted via a nation-wide crowd sourcing effort and Mediacorp’s transmedia platforms. The campaign recorded over 1,500 designs and close to 10,000 tee-shirts were sold, with some proceeds going to the Community Chest.
Overall the campaign reached over *3.1 million people (aged 15+), delivered 626,000 online ad impressions and had over 1,000 social mentions by the public on social media throughout the campaign.
