To better serve readers and advertisers, Elle Singapore has named a new Deputy Editor to lead the integration of its digital and print content.
In a move that underscores the magazine’s commitment to meeting evolving demands of the market, Audrey Phoon -- who brings with her a decade of journalism experience in both new and traditional media -- is now its Deputy Editor.
A seasoned editor in 360 multi-media content creation, Audrey was responsible for setting up the ELLE Singapore website last August in her capacity as Elle Digital Editor. On top of leading the Elle team in managing the site and its social media properties, Audrey was also involved in business development.
Within just 10 months of its launch, elle.sg has exceeded expectations by attracting almost 3.9 million page views and 1.4 million unique visitors. These figures are especially impressive when viewed against comparable sites with more years behind them.
Throughout her journalism career, Audrey has variously been an editor at Female magazine, Dow Jones, the Wall Street Journal and Today newspaper, and a Business Times correspondent where she also worked on fashion, travel, food and design features. Audrey was also a copywriter and producer at Mediacorp radio where she conceptualised and executed creative campaigns for clients.
Says Jessie Sng, Head, Women, Men and Parents Segment, Mediacorp: “Audrey’s appointment cements our commitment to the seamless integration of Elle’s digital and print content to better serve readers as well as advertisers seeking innovative, 360 reach for their messages.”
