Sinaran Hati 2016 raised over $780,000


Sinaran Hati charity show held on 18 November 2016 at Caldecott Broadcast Centre’s TV Theatre raised over $780,000 through telepoll and corporate donations, impressively surpassing the target by 25%. Jointly organised by the Tabung Amal Aidilfitri Trust Fund (TAA) and Mediacorp Suria, Sinaran Hati featured the theme ‘Kumohon Ihsanmu’ in pursuit of compassion to raise funds for over 2,800 beneficiaries.

The two-hour variety special saw a multitude of celebrities putting up exciting performances, compelling reenactments and a comedy sketch. Sinaran Hati also brought forth winners from singing reality competitions, Sufi Rashid, Nana Karia, Sarah Aqilah together with special appearance by Malaysia’s ballad and pop singer, Dato Jamal Abdillah. The event was graced by Guest of Honour - Mr Chee Hong Tat, Minister of State, Ministry of Communications and Information & Ministry of Health.

Prior to the charity show, TV trailers ran for five weeks across Mediacorp TV platforms reaching an audience of 3.6 million. During the show, live posts were made on Suria’s Facebook and Instagram with followers of 127,200 and 65,200 respectively. Being the #1 Malay TV Station in Singapore, TAA collaboration with Mediacorp Suria achieved the desired results. Sinaran Hati 2016 was the most watched programme on Suria since October 2016, which captivated 150,000 viewers.

Donation lines are still open until 31 March 2017. Viewers can call 1900-112-9050 for a $50 donation and 1900-112-9010 for a $10 donation. The encore telecast of Sinaran Hati will be on Sunday, 18 December 2016 at 10.30pm.
