National Day Rally 2018 to be broadcast live for Singapore and worldwide audiences

Singapore, 13 August 2018 – Mediacorp will broadcast Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong’s National Day Rally 2018 speech live on Sunday, 19 August 2018 on TV, radio, Toggle and

There will be two parts to the speech:

Part 1:   6.45pm to 7.30pm – Prime Minister Lee will deliver his speech first in Malay, then in Mandarin.

Part 2:   8.15pm to 9.30pm – Prime Minister Lee will deliver his speech in English.

Channel NewsAsia will broadcast Prime Minister Lee’s speech in its original language with English summary captions. There will be a voiceover of Prime Minister Lee’s speech when it is different from the language of the channel or station. 

For the deaf, there will be live captions on Channel 5.

The online community will be able to watch the simulcast of the Rally live on and  Viewers may also visit Toggle and for catch-up and video on-demand.
