Singapore/Jakarta, 27 December 2016 – Bridestory and Mediacorp's Style Weddings have announced the dissolution of a joint venture in Singapore with immediate effect.
Established in July 2015, the joint venture enabled both companies to pool resources and produce inspirational content for the Singapore wedding market through the setting up of a portal, Bridestory.com.sg. With the progress into the next growth phase, both companies have agreed to go separate ways to pursue their own commercial objectives.
Jessie Sng, Mediacorp’s Head of the Women, Men and Parenting segments, said, “With this development, both companies will be free to pursue their own business strategies. Mediacorp’s Style Weddings is boosting its digital footprint with its presence on the stylexstyle website. We’re also scaling up on the events front – in the pipeline is a mega wedding show in March 2017. With our renewed focus on 360 solutioning, we have vast possibilities available to us digitally, in the event space as well as on TV.”
