Catch Singapore’s National Day programmes ‘live’ on Mediacorp

Singapore, 4 August 2017 – Viewers in Singapore and around the world can celebrate Singapore’s 52nd birthday by tuning in to the National Day Message and National Day Parade which will be telecast ‘live’ on Mediacorp platforms.

 1. National Day Message

The National Day Message will be broadcast live on 8 August 2017 across Mediacorp’s free-to-air TV channels and radio stations in the four official languages, and live streamed on Toggle.  The broadcasts will be subtitled in the language of the channel.

The National Day Message will be delivered in the four official languages by:

  1. Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong (English);
  2. Minister, Prime Minister’s Office, Mr Chan Chun Sing (Mandarin);
  3. Minister for Communications & Information and Minister in charge of Muslim Affairs and Cyber Security Dr Yaacob Ibrahim (Malay); and
  4. Minister for Trade and Industry, Mr S Iswaran (Tamil).

The video clips of the National Day Message in the four languages will be available on Toggle Catch‐up (Toggle.sg/NDP2017) after its first television broadcast, with a repeat broadcast on 9 August 2017.

2. National Day Parade

MediaCorp will broadcast the National Day Parade (NDP) live on 9 August 2017 from 5.40pm to 8.30pm on its TV, radio and Toggle at www.toggle.sg/NDP2017.

Toggle is available on big screens via selected Smart TVs models, Apple TV, Chromecast and Toggle Red Button service. It is also available as a mobile app for your connected devices on the go. Toggle carries the live simulcast for all TV channels except Channel NewsAsia international feed.

For the hearing-impaired

The option to watch with live captions will be made available on Toggle via Toggle Live 2 channel.

3. National Day Rally

This year, the National Day Rally will be held on Sunday, 20 August 2017.  Telecast details for Mediacorp television channels, radio stations and Toggle will be announced shortly.
