Mr Shaun Seow, MediaCorp CEO says, “Good journalism, as evident through our News Awards, goes beyond powerful sound bites, singing prose and well-filmed video. It may also not garner the most 'likes' on social media. Instead, it comes in the form of a well-told story that deals with issues of the day and nudges or even pushes us along to find answers. At the end of the day, good journalism helps make the world a better place. I'm heartened by the enterprise that goes on every day in the newsrooms of MediaCorp, and I want to salute my colleagues for their relentless pursuit of journalistic excellence."
A panel of local judges selected the winning entries which were broadcast or published in 2011. Please see Annex 1 for the panel of judges. The full winners’ credit list can be found in Annex 2.
