MediaCorp announces two key appointments

Appointments aimed at accelerating the group’s transformation while maintaining strong financial management

Singapore, 18 July - MediaCorp today announced two strategic appointments aimed at accelerating its transformation while maintaining its strong financial management.

Jamie Ang will be appointed as Chief Financial Officer (CFO), overseeing the group’s Finance Division, including its Risk Management and Procurement functions. She is currently the group’s Financial Controller.

Yeo Mui Sung, currently CFO, will be appointed to the newly created role of Chief Campus Officer, providing oversight and direction over the group’s relocation to its new campus at Mediapolis in Singapore. In addition to campus development and estate management, she will continue to oversee the Singapore Media Academy and VizPro International businesses.

Shaun Seow, MediaCorp Chief Executive Officer said: “These appointments are another significant step towards building a senior management team with the strategic skills to lead MediaCorp into the future. Jamie’s financial acumen, sound judgment and broad understanding of our range of businesses acquired in her current capacity make her a natural choice for the role of CFO.”

Mr Seow added: “I want to thank Mui Sung for stepping up to her new role leading our campus move. The move is more than a physical relocation of facilities; it is an integral part of our transformation agenda. Mui Sung has the right skills for this mission-critical role.”

Ms Ang has over 25 years’ experience in finance, accounting and audit across a number of industries including oil and gas and electronics. She joined MediaCorp as its Financial Controller in 2009.  She is a Fellow Chartered Accountant of Singapore and a UK-registered Fellow Chartered and Certified Accountant.

Ms Yeo has over 30 years’ experience in financial and business management in local and multinational companies that include F&N Coca Cola, Baxter Healthcare and United Test and Assembly Center Ltd. She joined MediaCorp as CFO in 2007. She is an independent director of Kulicke & Soffa Industries Inc, a Nasdaq-listed company.

Both appointments are effective 1 August 2014.
