MediaCorp-branded websites come up top for three consecutive years 

Singapore, 3 April 2008 – Three MediaCorp-branded websites have been awarded as the most popular websites in their respective categories at the latest annual Hitwise Online Performance Awards based on number of visits.

1. – winner in the 'Entertainment-Radio’ industry.
2. – winner in the 'Entertainment-Television’ industry.
3. – winner in the 'Lifestyle-Children Sites’ industry.

The websites of MediaCorp Radio, Channel NewsAsia and Kids Central have won the award for three consecutive years since the inception of the award.

MediaCorp’s online classified portal has also become immensely popular with netizens, winning the Quarterly No.1 Award in Hitwise’s 'Shopping & Classifieds – Classifieds’ category a few months after its launch in July last year. Mocca continues to maintain its leadership position in 2008 and hopes to clinch the award next year as only websites which are in operation for a full calendar year are qualified for the Hitwise award.

The annual Hitwise awards recognise excellence in online performance through public popularity, awarding websites in a variety of industries. Results of the Hitwise Online Performance Awards are based on the Internet usage of around 1.5 million Singapore Internet users visiting over 9,300 Singapore websites, with winners receiving the largest market share of visits throughout 2007 in their online industry.
