Singapore, 14 August 2014 – MediaCorp will broadcast Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong’s National Day Rally 2014 speech ‘live’ on Sunday, 17 August 2014 from 6.45pm across television, radio, Toggle and channelnewsasia.com. There will be two parts to the speech:Part 1: 6.45pm to 7.30pm – PM Lee will deliver his speech first in Malay, then in Mandarin.Part 2: 8.00pm to 10.00pm – PM Lee will deliver his speech in English.
The Prime Minister’s speech will be voiced-over only during the speeches when it is different from the language of the channel and station. For Vasantham and Oli 96.8FM, the broadcast will be completely voiced-over in Tamil. The online community in Singapore and overseas Singaporeans around the world will be able to watch the simulcast of the Rally ‘live’ onchannelnewsasia.com/nd2014 and via toggle.sg/liveshows#ndp2014 from 6.45pm.
Viewers who miss the ‘live’ broadcast of the Rally may watch it on Toggle catchup and Video on Demand clips of the Rally at channelnewsasia.com/nd2014. XinMSN will also offer catchup viewing on xinmsn.com/ndp2014 from 18 August 2014. Details of the broadcast schedule are as follows:
