MediaCorp broadcasts National Day Parade 2008 'live'

Viewers in Asia can catch it 'live' for the first time on Channel NewsAsia International

Singapore, 7 August 2008 – MediaCorp 'celebrates the Singapore Spirit’ with the 'live’ telecast of the National Day Parade (NDP) 2008 on National Day, 9 August 2008 across MediaCorp TV, radio and online platforms.

For the first time, Singaporeans and viewers in Asia will be able to catch the National Day Parade 'live’ over television on Channel NewsAsia International (CNAI), from 5.45pm to 8.15pm Singapore/ Hong Kong time. Viewers can also catch the parade 'live’ online at

Singaporeans and local viewers can enjoy the parade proceedings on Channel 5, Channel 8, Channel U, TVMobile, Suria and Vasantham Central 'live’ from 5.45pm to 8.15pm. The commentary on Channel 5 and TVMobile will be in English; Channel 8 and U in Mandarin; Suria in Malay and Vasantham Central in Tamil.

MediaCorp’s radio stations will cover the parade 'live' over 938LIVE, Capital 95.8FM, Warna 94.2FM and Oli 96.8FM from 5.45pm to 8.15pm in English, Mandarin, Malay and Tamil respectively.

The radio broadcasts can also be heard 'live’ online at -- click on “Hear Us” icons for the relevant stations.

Viewers who are unable to catch the 'live’ broadcast may watch the repeat telecast as follows:
