MediaCorp broadcasts National Day Parade 2011 ‘live’

MediaCorp’s multiple platforms join in the celebration of the Singapore Spirit and unite Singaporeans in the Pledge Moment 2011

Singapore, 5 August 2011 – It is a celebration of the ‘Singapore Spirit’ with MediaCorp’s 'live’ telecast of the National Day Parade (NDP) 2011 on National Day, 9 August 2011. Broadcast across MediaCorp’s TV, radio, out-of-home and online platforms, this year’s Parade can be enjoyed by those at home, on the move and overseas.

Television viewers in Singapore can watch the ‘live’ parade proceedings on Channel 5, Channel 8, Channel U, Suria, Vasantham and okto from 6.10pm to 8.15pm, and in high definition on HD 5. Viewers in Asia will also be able to catch the NDP ‘live’ on Channel NewsAsia International (CNAI) from 6.10pm to 8.15pm Singapore / Hong Kong time.

MediaCorp’s radio stations will cover the parade “live” over 938LIVE, Capital 95.8FM, Warna 94.2FM and Oli 96.8FM from 6:10pm to 8:15pm in English, Mandarin, Malay and Tamil respectively. 

Those out and about on National Day will be able to catch the live screening of the Parade on the outdoor digital screens managed by MediaCorp at ION Orchard, Orchard Central and Bugis Street.

                                                  

The ‘live’ coverage across MediaCorp’s TV, radio, out-of-home and online platforms will culminate in the Pledge Moment 2011 at about 8.10pm.  

Online viewers can become part of the action by logging on to xinmsn.com/ndp2011. The website allows viewers to enjoy the Parade from multiple camera angles and features a ‘live’ chat function, sharing of NDP photos via LiveStream and posting of birthday messages.

Viewers who are unable to catch the ‘live’ broadcast may watch the repeat telecast or view them through Catch-up TV on xinmsn. Television telecasts are as follows:
