MediaCorp consolidates position as Singapore’s most integrated media company

Singapore’s most integrated media company Singapore, 1 October 2009 – MediaCorp’s media platforms come alive in a colourful and heart-stopping reality show entitled MediaCorp Festival 2009-MediaCorp’s Got Talent on Thursday, 1 October 2009 at The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore, with over 140 MediaCorp artistes and personalities on stage. The one-hour mega extravaganza is the annual trade event for business partners and showcases MediaCorp’s content coming up in 2010.

Taking a cue from reality shows, MediaCorp’s Got Talent will allow judges and audiences to choose their favourite performances. A captivating dance medley performed by Patricia Mok and dancers will highlight Channel 8’s upcoming dramas A Song to Remember, Together and Your Hand in Mine. Channel 5’s Polo Boys will strut to Christina Aguilera’s Candy Man while an illusion act featuring Thomas Ong will thrill clients in Channel U’s performance. Six Channel NewsAsia presenters will play various Asian drums in an item titled Heartbeats of Asia, while MediaCorp’s Radio stations will present Evolution of Dance featuring 13 songs and dance styles to represent its 13 stations. Hosted by Adrian Pang and Angel Teo, the judges for the show segment are Gurmit Singh in his impersonation as Phua Chu Kang, Michelle Chong as Barbarella from Channel 5’s variety The Noose and Dennis Chew as his character Aunty Lucy from Channel 8’s variety show Paris & Milan.

This is the first time that MediaCorp will showcase its out-of-home (OOH) media, having been appointed as the exclusive agent to manage and market all digital screens in ION Orchard and Orchard Central shopping malls.

The creme de la creme of MediaCorp artistes will turn up in full force, including Zoe Tay, Joanne Peh, Jeanette Aw, Jesseca Liu, Rui En, Ivy Lee, Michelle Chong, Michelle Chia, Dawn Yeoh, Xiang Yun, Christopher Lee, Gurmit Singh, Chen Han Wei, Tay Ping Hui, Qi Yu Wu, Pornsak, Bryan Wong, Nat Ho, Pierre Png, Terence Cao and Huang Wen Yong.

After the show, clients will be able to visit the many exciting product booths for engaging activities and information on advertising opportunities.
