MediaCorp delivers a digital 28th SEA Games
Singapore, 28 May 2015 – Now you can catch the 28th South East Asian Games on Toggle, MediaCorp’s over-the-top internet video service, anytime, anywhere and on demand. MediaCorp is making Toggle a key platform for presenting the most exciting moments of the Games to viewers in Singapore.
Viewers on the move can watch the action on 12 ‘live’ streams on Toggle accompanied with English commentary and relive the best sporting moments on Toggle’s ‘Catch-Up’ video-on-demand. An Electronic Programme Guide (EPG) specially developed by Toggle for SEA Games allows viewers to select their preferred sports with a ‘sports finder’ or the option of watching the various sporting action that are available on the selected channels. A ‘remind me’ function is available to help viewers pre-set a date and time of their preferred games.
Television viewers will also enjoy the Games on okto, the dedicated channel for SEA Games, now in high definition (HD) quality. Channel 5 will broadcast ‘live’ the Opening Ceremony with the encore telecasts available for both the Opening Ceremony and the daily Games highlight show, Today At The Games. Capital 95.8FM radio station will broadcast the Opening and Closing ceremonies ‘live’ with Chinese commentary while Channel U will be showcasing key SEA Games events in dual sound with English and Chinese commentary throughout the competition.

MediaCorp’s Out-of-Home (OOH) media will screen the Opening and Closing ceremonies ‘live’ at seven outdoor screens: Junction 8, Jcube, Orchard Gateway, Westgate, Bugis, Star Vista, and Chinatown Point. The malls will also showcase Highlights of the Day during the SEA Games.
News media such as Channel NewsAsia, TODAY, MediaCorp Radio stations and online platforms will provide extensive coverage including the latest scores, daily Games updates, athlete profile stories revolving ‘life around the games’ and over 60 vignettes that reveal fascinating aspects of the SEA Games. These include pre-Opening Games of five football matches and 11 Table Tennis matches from 29 May to 4 June with a focus on Team Singapore.

A) On 7 March this year, MediaCorp took part in One Team Singapore @ Orchard Road’s Pedestrian Night which saw artistes, radio deejays and SEA Games presenters counting down with Singaporeans 90 days of the Games.
B) In April, MediaCorp launched “The Lion’s Roar” cheer contest to search for the most energetic, fun and spirited cheer to rally Team Singapore. The winning cheer will be heard at events throughout the Games.
Come June, MediaCorp encourages Singaporeans to share their SEA Games moments that inspire them, hashtag #SEAGamesMoments and submit their entries on Instagram from 5 to 16 June to stand a chance at winning cash vouchers.
