MediaCorp partners Bridestory to address the growing wedding market

Singapore, 9 July 2015 – Bridestory, one of Indonesia’s top wedding portals and Singapore-based media company MediaCorp have formed a joint venture to make Bridestory ( a platform with the most comprehensive services for wedding couples in the region.

MediaCorp pioneered the broadcasting industry in Singapore but has since diversified into print, out-of-home, live entertainment and other digital media assets. Its digital properties include over-the-top service Toggle, and Kuala Lumpur headquartered gaming publisher Cubinet.  In April this year, MediaCorp announced that it took a majority stake in Indonesia’s Kapanlagi Network, an Indonesian digital media company.

Bridestory was launched in April 2014, and is acclaimed as the fastest growing wedding marketplace in Indonesia. currently hosts more than 10,000 wedding vendors from more than 20 categories, and attracts 250,000 monthly visitors to its site. On top of that, Bridestory delivers daily inspirations to more than 2 million followers through various social media channels, notably via its Instagram accounts. As a promising startup, Bridestory has secured a series of fundings from high profile investors like Rocket Internet and East Ventures. These achievements have positioned Bridestory among the top three wedding sites in Southeast Asia (SimilarWeb, 2015).

Currently armed with over 80 employees, Bridestory reaches more than 2 million users with daily wedding inspirations via various web and social media channels.
