Asia Rainbow TV Awards, co-organized by the Hong Kong Televisioners Association and the TV Production Committee of China Radio & TV Academy, aims primarily at promoting the development of Asian TV production in Asia as well as internationally.

At the 2014 Apollo Awards, MediaCorp won Best Music Composition – Full Length Versions for The Journey: A Voyage. This is the first time MediaCorp participated in the Music Composition category at the award show, which recognizes the best in production and post-production across Asia Pacific, especially the creative and technical forces behind-the-scenes.

Ms Doreen Neo, MD of Studios, commented, “We are very happy to win the Best Action Drama and Outstanding Scriptwriter Awards at the Asia Rainbow TV Awards despite the stiff competition. We were competing against popular titles such as The Legend of Zhen Huan from China and The Heirs from Korea across the categories we were nominated in. Together with our win for Best Music Composition Award at the Apollo Awards, we are heartened that our productions are gaining recognition in the TV industry in Asia.”

Ms Mo Ju Li, Music & Sound Effect Director, Studios, who won the Best Music Composition Award, recounted, “It was a pleasant surprise for us to win this Award as the contenders in this category are so strong. The Apollo Awards gives recognition to post-production folks like us and most importantly, it paved the way for contenders across Asia Pacific to meet and learn from each other.”

The Journey: A Voyage, was also nominated in the Colour Grading and Sound Design – Long Form categories. Other nominations include Sudden for Music Composition – Full Length Versions and There Was a Time for Art Direction at the Apollo Awards.
