Mega These are the Days music video featuring Singaporeans from all walks of life released
The Gift of Song is one of MediaCorp's SG50 gifts to the nation; everyone encouraged to sing along
Singapore, 14 July 2015 – MediaCorp today unveiled the music video (MV) of These are the Days, the winning entry from SG50: The Gift of Song, a song-writing competition organised by MediaCorp to celebrate the nation’s 50th birthday.
With music and lyrics by winner Lee Chin Sin, the MV features MediaCorp’s talent show winners Farisha Ishak, Shabir, Sufie Rashid and Alfred Sim as well as Julie Tan, Tay Kewei, local musicians The Lorong Boys and the Singapore Symphony Children’s Choir. The four-minute MV also showcases special appearances by members of the Singapore Police Force and YMCA Deaf Generation, Team Singapore 28th SEA Games athletes and students of Pei Chun Public School and Methodist Girls’ School.
Chang Long Jong, Deputy Chief Executive Officer, MediaCorp said, “The production of the MV is the climax to the year-long journey of The Gift of Song. It has truly been an honour for MediaCorp, the judges, musicians and performers to come together with Singaporeans for this SG50 project. This mega music video is not just a gift to Singapore from MediaCorp but from everyone involved in the project. We hope that These are the Days, a stirring song that reflects our shared past and future, will strike a chord among Singaporeans and that everyone will sing along to it.”
The music video will air on MediaCorp’s television channels, Out-Of-Home (OOH) screens and over-the-top service Toggle while the song will be played across MediaCorp’s radio stations from 3.00pm on 14 July 2015.

*“Design-A-Tee” SG50 tee-shirt competition in February, with the winning designs available for purchase at all Denizen outlets
*Pass it Forward, a volunteering and corporate giving project between MediaCorp, Sheng Siong and Singapore Pools to pledge a symbolic 50 hours of community work delivered in the form of a relay, announced earlier this month
*Special documentaries throughout the year, including Footprints, capturing Singapore’s transformation from a young nation to a first-world country, and Wild City, uncovering Singapore’s wild life as never seen before on television.
