Prime Minister’s 2009 National Day Message
Singapore, 6 August 2009 – Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong’s National Day Message will be broadcast on 8 August 2009, the eve of National Day, across MediaCorp TV and radio stations. PM Lee’s message in English will be televised on Channel 5, HD5 and TVMobile at 7.15pm, Channel NewsAsia at 7.32pm, and okto at 9.45pm. The message will be shot in high definition (HD), and broadcast in HD on HD5. The message will be subtitled for the hearing-impaired.
The Prime Minister’s message in English can be heard on MediaCorp’s radio station 938LIVE at 7.35pm.
The Prime Minister's National Day Message will also be broadcast in Mandarin, Malay and Tamil on TV and radio.
Mr Wong Kan Seng, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs, will deliver the message in Mandarin; Dr Yaacob Ibrahim, Minister for the Environment and Water Resources and Minister-in-charge of Muslim Affairs, will deliver the message in Malay, and the message in Tamil will be delivered by Mr K. Shanmugam, Minister for Law and Second Minister for Home Affairs.
