Singapore, 3 December 2019 - Celebrating one of the biggest nights of the year, Singapore talents will take centerstage at Mediacorp’s Let’s Celebrate 2020 to present an exciting night of non-stop entertainment for revellers in Singapore to ring in the new year together.
With a dramatic showcase of close to 100 of Singapore’s local dance, music and fashion talents, Let’s Celebrate 2020 will set the stage for a promising new year while putting sustainability on everyone’s new year agenda.
Bringing the best of Singapore talents to our audiences
Storming fresh into their first public performance after a third-place win¹ at the annual dance showcase competition Super 24, local dance troupe BLVCKARMY will present an explosive and energetic item, also featuring percussionists from one of Singapore’s largest cajón schools Arthur Choo and BEAT’ABOX.
Sustaining the momentum are next-gen stars like Dru Chen, Glen Wee, Astronauts, Shak & The Baits, Yung Raja and Fariz Jabba, Azura Goh and Joshua Marc, who will bring a palette of groovy tunes ranging from R&B, funk to pop. Mediacorp artistes Ayden Sng, Daryl-Ann, Jarrell Huang and Fang Rong will also join the stage to serenade music fans. There will be sizzling performances from actor-singer Benjamin Kheng, songbird Aisyah Aziz and “Papa Rock” Ramli Sarip before the night reaches its dramatic climax with electronic music singer-songwriter Jasmine Sokko, the first home-grown act to win the Best Southeast Asia Act award at the 2019 MTV Europe Music Awards.
Celebrating sustainable living
Reprising last year’s key highlight segment “Fashion Forward”, fashion consultant Daniel Boey will once again choreograph a unique catwalk item to showcase works from local labels ITT SWIM, Jo Kilda, LOOMS, Matter Prints, OliveAnkara, Q MENSWEAR, QLOTHÈ, theKANG and To Tie For, as well as pieces from Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) students.
In spreading the message of sustainability, these local labels and NAFA’s Fashion Studies students will showcase unique clothing and accessories created using sustainable materials via environmentally-friendly processes, as well as new upcycled designs, re-structured from existing fashion pieces.
To further drive awareness on the concept of sustainable living, on-site hospitality area will also feature furniture and decoration pieces, specially re-purposed from daily objects by NAFA’s 3D Design students.

Let’s Celebrate 2020 will be hosted by radio deejays Sonia Chew from 987FM and Fiza O from Ria 897, and is expected to hit capacity crowd at The Promontory similar to last year’s show which attracted 5,000 revellers and close to 770,000 viewers² , making it the most-watched countdown show on Channel 5 and the second-highest single variety programme in 2018 after National Day Parade.
