Supporting SMEs a key focus of Mediacorp’s RECONNECTNOW initiative

First-ever S$2000 ‘Business Recovery Bonus’ to help businesses reconnect with customers

Singapore, 12 October 2020 – Mediacorp’s annual CONNECT initiative returns for the eighth year, this time combining TV, Radio and Digital editions – hitherto held separately – into five engaging days of virtual sales activities. The RECONNECTNOW virtual interactions will be held from 2 to 6 November. The priority of RECONNECTNOW this year is to help local small and medium enterprises (SMEs) bounce back by reaching out to more consumers with Mediacorp’s comprehensive suite of advertising solutions.

In light of the steep challenges faced by SMEs during the COVID-19 pandemic, as a special gesture Mediacorp is offering companies who purchase an advertising solution a one-time ‘business recovery bonus’. The bonus comprises S$2,000 worth of free advertising credits that businesses can utilise to reconnect with their customers.

Through RECONNECTNOW, businesses can learn how they can take advantage of Mediacorp’s extensive reach to connect with new customers, drive sales, maintain top-of-mind awareness, build their brand and take their business to a whole new level – all in a credible and brand-safe environment. As the national media network, Mediacorp engages over three million people in Singapore daily across four languages on its digital platforms including meWATCH, meLISTEN and CNA.asia, six TV channels and 11 radio stations.

Parminder Singh, Chief Commercial and Digital Officer, Mediacorp, said, “We recognise that businesses across the board have been hit hard by the pandemic. In particular, SMEs are feeling the pain even more sharply. We believe what benefits SMEs, benefits the nation. We are extending our support to SMEs with unprecedented offers on our advertising solutions at RECONNECTNOW and complementing this with a special S$2000 ‘business recovery bonus’ for all RECONNECTNOW clients. Through this dual benefit, our aim is to help SMEs maximise their client outreach and revive demand for their products. We also hope this will play a role in reigniting the commercial engine of the nation.”
