Toggle now available on Google Chromecast
Singapore, 3 May 2016 – Local OTT (Over-The-Top) entertainment provider Toggle announced today that the Toggle app is now available on Chromecast allowing Android and iOS users to cast Toggle content from their connected devices to their TV screen.
Chromecast is a thumb-sized media streaming device that plugs into the HDMI port of TV sets. Using Google Cast technology, the viewer can use their phone or tablet as a personalised remote control to search, browse, play, pause and review content as well as other functions. While casting, the viewer is free to use the device for other things.
With this latest addition, Toggle is now available on a wide range of devices including computers and laptops, Samsung and LG Smart TVs, Microsoft Xbox One and of course, on iOS and Android (selected models) smartphone and tablets.
This latest foray marks the aggressive expansion of Toggle over the years to be available on different platforms and screen sizes – starting with an online entertainment portal to an app on smartphones and tablets that allow for live-streaming and catch-up TV services. The latest feature allows Toggle users to have a much better viewing experience on their big HD TV screens.
Since its launch in 2013, the OTT service with bilingual entertainment and lifestyle content offering a wide variety of local content options such as catch-up TV, Toggle Originals, live coverage of key events, behind-the-scenes insights to viewers across multiple devices offering a strong library of original local programmes – free of charge.
Toggle has also provided a great ‘second-screen experience’ as a companion for tentpole programmes like the annual Star Awards show by enhancing audience engagement via excusive features like instant updates, interviews and social media interaction with fans.
