Watch the 29th SEA Games on Mediacorp Toggle and okto

Singapore, 8 August 2017 – Between 19 and 30 August 2017, catch the best sporting action of the 29th Southeast Asian (SEA) Games as Mediacorp brings viewers live  coverage – in full HD –  on its free-to-air TV channel, okto and its digital entertainment service, Toggle.

Toggle will provide the widest coverage of the 29th SEA Games, with three ‘live’ channels, from 19 to 30 August and the coverage will also be available as catch-up.  Prior to that, Toggle will also start showing Team Singapore football matches from 14 August.

On free-to-air, the Games will be carried daily on the oktoSports belt from 20 to 29 August between 6pm and 9pm on weekdays, and between 4pm and 9pm on weekends. 

Highlights of the Games telecast include: 

1.       The Opening Ceremony, on 19 August from  8pm to 10pm

2.       The Closing Ceremony, on 30 August from 8pm to 10:30pm

3.       Key Team Singapore (Team SG) events, on okto’s daily highlights programme “Today At The Games” (9pm – 10pm, 20 to 29 Aug)

4.       Selected Team SG events, before the Opening Ceremony on 19 August. 

On the editorial front, Mediacorp’s TODAY will start profiling Team SG athletes and teams two weeks leading up to the Games.  Listeners of 938LIVE and 987 will be able to get the most up-to-date results of the Games with updates throughout the day from the reporters on-site.

With Team Singapore athletes proving themselves to be top-notch competitors internationally, local interest in sporting events has never been greater.  More than 2.75 million viewers tuned in to the broadcast of Rio 2016 Olympic Games on okto.  On Toggle, over 10.6 million video views were recorded from 670,000 unique video viewers, for ‘live’ and catch-up viewing.
