JUARA MIC JUNIOR is back for the second season to hunt new talents. This time, we are looking for multi-talented individuals who not only can sing but rock the stage with other performing talents too such as acting, hosting, dancing, rapping, beatboxing and many more!

Who can participate in Juara Mic Junior Season 2?
The Competition is open to all Singapore citizens and Singapore permanent residents within the age range of 7 – 13 years old (both ages inclusive) as of 8 October 2022.

The following persons are not eligible to enter the Competition:

  1. Persons who have immediate family members who are current permanent full time or part time employees of any one of the Mediacorp group of companies.
  2. Persons who have immediate family members who are working for any of the Mediacorp group of companies on contract (not being full time or part time employment).
  3. Individuals who have professionally recorded and commercially distributed their music, songs or performances in the form of a single or an album, including but not limited to mini album and compilation album) and/or are recording artistes.
  4. Individuals who are currently signed or contracted to an artiste management company and/or entertainment company and/or companies of such nature.
  5. Previous winners and top 4 finalists in any vocal categories of any Malay talent contest organized by the Organiser from the year 2017.
  6. Persons currently under police investigation or are involved in any legal entanglements, and persons under probation with curfew imposed.
What are the components in the Competition?
There will be two components in this Competition. The primary component will be VOCAL SOLO. The secondary component will be SHOWCASING OF OTHER PERFORMING TALENTS such as acting, hosting, dancing, rapping, beatboxing, playing musical instruments etc.
How will contestants be judged?
The performances will be evaluated by a panel of judges. The broad criteria for assessment are primarily vocal abilities followed by other performing talent.
How do I register?

Registration and submission of performance video are done online at

Video submission guidelines:

  1. Include a link of your performance video singing a Malay song in the registration form
  2. Please ensure the video link is shareable (with public access) and video is downloadable, such as Dropbox, Google Drive, Vimeo and/or One Drive.
  3. Do not submit link of performance clip via YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and Smule.
  4. Contestant must do a self-introduction at the start of the performance video.
  5. The video format shall be MP4, in either portrait or landscape format.

Online registration must be submitted by 18th October 2022, 2359.

Successful applicants will be invited for an on-site audition held on 22nd October 2022 at a time and venue to be determined by the Organiser. A member of the production team will contact successful applicants on the details of the on-site audition.

If I missed the online registration, can I still walk in for the on-site audition?
Yes. You are welcome to walk in for the on-site audition on 8 October 2022. However, please note that there is a priority queue for those who have registered online.
What is required for the on-site audition?

Contestant will be required to be accompanied by ONE parent/guardian only.

Contestant must provide their own thumb drive or a downloadable link to their selected song in minus one in mp3 format. Contestant may use their own musical instruments to enhance their performance.

What is the dress code for the on-site audition?
All contestants are advised to be suitably dressed and made-up. Contestants are encouraged to avoid loud brand or visible logo, including suggestive message, or indecent attire.
Can I bring my family or friends to the on-site audition?
Since the auditions is held within private premises, contestant is allowed to bring only ONE parent/guardian to prevent overcrowding of the area.
What is the time limit for each contestant to perform for the on-site audition?
Contestants will be required to perform any Malay song during the on-site audition. The time limit of your performance is subjected to the judges' discretion.
Can I sing an English song during the audition?
No. Contestants must sing only Malay songs.
How will I know the outcome of my on-site audition?
Only successful applicants will be notified by the production team latest by 20 October 2022 for the callback audition on 22 October 2022.
What is the production period that I will need to be committed to if I’m selected for the programme?
Contestants will be expected to be committed to the production of the programme from October 2022 till December 2022.
