What You Need To Know

  1. Where will Let’s Celebrate 2023 be held?

    Let’s Celebrate 2023 will be held at The Promontory at Marina Bay.

  2. What time do gates open?

    Venue gates open at 7.00pm.

    It’s non-stop celebration from 7.00pm to 12.15am so come early to book the best spot!

  3. Will there be bag checks for the event?

    Yes, there will be security bag checks prior to entry, in accordance with regulations by the Singapore Police Force.

    Please note that you will NOT be allowed to bring in:

    • External food and drinks, including bottled water
    • Weapons and sharp objects of any kind (umbrellas, guns, metal or ceramic knives, corkscrews, etc.)
    • Illegal substances, including controlled, dangerous or illicit drugs
    • Missiles/ projectile like objects
    • Laser pens, laser pointers or similar focused light devices
    • Projectile items
    • Bottles, cans, glassware or glass bottles
    • Poles, sticks, tripods, monopods, selfie sticks
    • Fan boards and signages larger than A3 size
    • Flammable items, liquids or explosives (aerosols, fireworks, etc)
    • Vaping devices
    • Bicycles and personalised motor vehicles
    • Animals or pets

    Mediacorp reserves the right to refuse entry to anyone who does not comply with the above.

  4. Do I need to wear a mask to the event?

    Masks are not compulsory but encouraged.

  5. Do I need to register or get tickets to the event?

    No registration is required. Admission to the event is FREE!

  6. Should I queue overnight for entry to the event?

    We do not recommend that you do. The queue areas are not fully sheltered, and there is no toilet access.

  7. Where are the entrances to the event grounds?

    General public can enter via entrances A and B facing Marina Boulevard.

  8. Are there seats at the event?

    This is a standing event.

  9. Is this an all-ages event? Is it accessible for the elderly, families with strollers, or people in wheelchairs?

    This event is open to all. However, children below 12 years old must be accompanied by an adult.

    Please note that The Promontory field has uneven grass surfaces, and can get muddy if it rains, posing some challenges to navigating the grounds. If you can’t join us at The Promontory, you can catch Let’s Celebrate 2023 LIVE on meWATCH and Mediacorp Entertainment on YouTube from 10.00pm and on Channel 5 from 11.00pm.

  10. Will re-entry be allowed?

    Members of the public will have to re-queue, and undergo security bag checks for re-admission. Re-entry to the venue is subject to venue capacity at the point of re-entry.

  11. Is there any maximum capacity for safety?

    Yes, there is. Hence, entry may be denied if the maximum capacity has been reached. We advise you to come early to secure your spots!

EVENT PROGRAMMING & ACTIVITIES

  1. Who will be performing?

    Join us at the biggest party of the year as we usher in 2023 with a bang! Let's Celebrate 2023 is going to be an exhilarating evening filled with live performances by YOUR favourite stars!

    • Shila Amzah will wow us with her powerhouse vocals while delivering a message of empowerment with a girl-power anthem.
    • Richie Koh & Desmond Ng - Since the popular Chinese drama Your World in Mine, where they play as brothers, Richie and Desmond are pairing up again to perform one of the biggest duets of 2022.
    • Yung Raja & Fariz Jabba - They will be premiering their brand-new song EXOPLANET on the Let’s Celebrate 2023 stage. This arrangement has been made exclusively for Let’s Celebrate 2023 and the song will be heard for the very first time on the show.
    • ALYPH will be performing his original song Swipe, a viral TikTok hit.
    • King of Culinary Chefs & Glenn Yong - Performing together for the first time, see Chefs Bob, Eric Teo and S.R. Bala in a new light with their drumming abilities using kitchenware, accompanied by popular vocalist Glenn Yong.
    • Ebi Shankara & Sherly Devonne Ng - Also teaming up for the first time, look forward to their classic boy-meets-girl performance.
    • Gao Mei Gui & Ridhwan - Our SPOP Wave! winner and runner-up will be performing an emotional, powerhouse duet.
    • Rahimah Rahim, Pavithra & Estelle Fly - Veteran icon Rahimah will lead Pavithra and Estelle girls in a fun, candy pop number where they get to show off their girl group sassiness.
    • Hosted by 987's Germaine and Maya, together with digital content creators J Jaikishan and Zhin Sadali..

    From 7.00pm, you can get your celebrations going with party songs and dance hits spun by a live DJ. There will be opportunities to participate in games and win prizes. Indulge in delicious light bites and refreshments. Create your personalised new year’s greeting videos with our special Bullet Time Photo Booth. A stunning display of fireworks will light up the night sky at the stroke of midnight! It’s a party you don’t want to miss!

  2. Can I buy food & drinks inside the event?

    Absolutely! You can purchase food and drinks from the food & beverage vendors at the venue.

  3. Can I get water on-site?

    Packaged water will be sold alongside other options at the beverages booth.

GENERAL EVENT FAQs

  1. Are there ATMs on-site? What are the payment modes available?

    There are no ATMs within the event grounds. The nearest ATMs are located at Marina Bay Link Mall (DBS & Citibank ATMs) & Marina Bay Financial Centre (Standard Chartered, UOB & OCBC ATMs). Payment modes accepted for purchases at the food and drinks booths are cash and digital transfers.

  2. Will there be first aid or security at the event?

    We take the safety and security of everyone seriously, and will be undertaking necessary measures to ensure this. Throughout the event, armed police officers will be on patrol.

    Those who require medical assistance can approach any of the roving medics or the first-aid tent (located near information counter). An ambulance is also on standby at the venue for emergency cases.

    Should anyone feel unwell or spot any suspicious activity, please alert the working crew on-site.

  3. Can I smoke inside the event grounds?

    This is a no-smoking event. Please note that vaping is prohibited.

  4. Are there toilets at the event?

    Yes, there are gender-neutral portable toilets, including 1 handicapped toilet on-site.

  5. Will there be diaper changing facilities at the event venue?

    No, kindly head over to the nearest diaper-changing facilities located within Marina Bay Link Mall (Ground Plaza & B1).

  6. Will there be Lost & Found booth at the event?

    Yes. The Lost & Found counter will be located near the First Aid booth. Please return any lost items to the Lost & Found counter, or enquire directly at the Information Booth for any missing items. Please refrain from handing over found items to staff members or guards.

  7. Can I bring pets to the event?

    Sorry, no animals or pets are allowed.

  8. What if it rains when the show is on?

    We will be monitoring weather conditions according to the National Environment Agency’s weather advisories. Activities will continue in the event of light rain. Should there be heavy rain with the presence of thunder and lighting, all activities will be halted until further notice.

  9. If the weather looks treacherous before the start of the event, will the show be cancelled?

    If there is threat of inclement weather, please check our social media platforms for the latest update, before you head down to The Promontory.

  10. How do I get to The Promontory on 31 Dec?

    Due to the closure of certain roads and lanes around Marina Bay on New Year’s Eve, members of the public are encouraged to make their way to Let’s Celebrate 2023 via the islandwide Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) system. Train services will be extended on 31 December.

    All MRT lines (East-West Line, North-South Line, Downtown Line, Circle Line and Thomson-East Coast Line) have stops in the Marina Bay area. The nearest stations are:

    • Marina Bay (NS27/TE20/CE2)
    • Raffles Place (NS26/EW14)
    • City Hall (NS25/EW13)
    • Shenton Way (TE19)
    • Downtown (DT17)
    • Bayfront (DT16/CE1)
    • Promenade (DT15/CC4)
    • Esplanade (CC3)
    • Gardens by The Bay (TE22)

  11. Is there a dress code?

    Come dressed comfortably and be ready to party! If it rains, the ground may be muddy. We advise you not to wear your favourite footwear.

  12. What should I bring to the event?

    Since this is a rain or shine event, you may want to bring a poncho.

  13. Is the event recorded and aired on TV or digital platforms?

    Yes, the event will air LIVE on meWATCH and Mediacorp Entertainment on YouTube on 31 December from 10.00pm, and on Channel 5 from 11.00pm. If you are attending the event, Mediacorp may use your imagea in any live or recorded video displays, photographs, pictures or publicity materials or website.

  14. Is photography permitted?

    Yes. Take incredible photographs that will help you remember the fun you had at #mediacorpLetsCelebrate2023.
