“Dare to Dream” at Mediacorp’s Pradhana Vizha as it celebrates excellence in local Indian entertainment
Singapore, 13 January 2026 – For over two decades, Pradhana Vizha has been the stage where dreams are recognised, stories are celebrated, and excellence in local Indian entertainment is honoured. Returning for its 21st edition on 7 February at The Theatre at Mediacorp, this year’s awards ceremony invites audiences to “Dare to Dream”, a theme that reflects both how far the industry has come and the possibilities that lie ahead.
From breakthrough performances to enduring contributions, Pradhana Vizha 2026 will celebrate outstanding achievements across television, audio and digital content, shining a spotlight on the talents and stories that continue to shape Singapore’s Indian entertainment landscape. Kicking off the evening will be the Red Carpet segment Dare to Dream in Style, during which dazzling artistes will make their much-anticipated arrivals in looks inspired by the “Dare to Dream” theme. More than a fashion showcase, the Red Carpet segment will be a moment of expression, where individuality, confidence and personal journeys take centre stage, setting the tone for a night of celebration.
As the curtains rise, audiences will be guided through the live awards ceremony by a dynamic hosting quartet: Udaya Soundari, Jaya Ganesh, Karthikeyan Somasundaram and Mediacorp OLI 968 audio personality Ravi G. Together, they will lead viewers through an evening that honours passion and creative excellence.
A total of 19 awards will be presented this year, recognising talent across key categories including “Best Actor”, “Best Actress”, and “Best Drama Series”, and celebrating performances and productions that continue to raise the bar for quality storytelling. Excellence in audio entertainment will also be acknowledged with awards such as “Best Radio DJ” and “Best Audio Programme”, highlighting the voices and content that resonate deeply with listeners.
The ceremony will also celebrate the industry’s future through the “Most Promising Artiste” award, which recognises emerging talents who are taking their bold steps onto the entertainment stage. Meanwhile, reflecting the evolving media landscape, awards such as “Best Digital Short Form Content” will recognise creativity and innovation in digital storytelling, while other awards will celebrate supporting actors, singers and creative contributors for their vital roles in bringing stories and entertainment to life.
Adding to the excitement, fans can play a role in the celebration by voting for the highly anticipated “Most Popular Male Personality” and “Most Popular Female Personality” awards. Voting opens from 23 January, 12.00am till 7 February, 10.00pm via mediacorp.sg/pradhanavizha.

The Red Carpet segment Dare to Dream in Style will be available live on 7 February on mewatch, Mediacorp Entertainment on YouTube, and Vasantham from 6.30pm to 7.30pm.
