The “Epilogue of Dreams” – Pesta Perdana 2023 returns to honour the best of Malay entertainment in Singapore
Singapore, 16 May 2023 – Gear up for Mediacorp’s biennial Malay awards show Pesta Perdana as it returns this June to honour the best of talents and content in the local Malay entertainment scene! Aptly themed “Epilogue of Dreams” to signify the awards as the culmination and recognition of everyone’s hard work, this year’s celebrations will also showcase an exhilarating array of performances by a stellar line-up comprising of popular homegrown and regional artistes.
Presented by WARNA 942 DJ A B Shaik and multi-talented artistes Farhana M Noor and Khairudin Samsudin, the star-studded event to be held on 17 June at The Theatre at Mediacorp will kick off with an iconic Red Carpet where artistes, dressed to the nines, will bring on their glitz and glam. Throughout the evening, top stars will present the Performance and Popularity awards to deserving individuals, while the prestigious "Lifetime Achievement" award will also be accorded to an esteemed individual for his/ her notable contributions to the local Malay entertainment industry. Interspersed between will be mesmerising musical spectacles, including performances by never-before-seen artiste collaborations. In addition, an exclusive industry Gala Dinner will also be held at the JW Marriott Hotel Singapore South Beach on 9 June to honour the diverse works and talents within the industry, and announce winners of the Programme and Creative awards.
In all, Pesta Perdana 2023 will present a total of 34 awards, underscoring Mediacorp’s continual commitment to honour and celebrate local talents and content. Of these, two are freshly added recognitions – namely, the “Best Radio DJ” award to merit personalities for their excellence in presenting content on the airwaves, and the “Best Digital Short-Form Content” award to acknowledge the growing demand for shorter forms of content among digital natives.
Among top productions vying for the coveted awards is the thriller drama Identiti by Papahan Films, leading with 11 nominations. It is closely followed by the suspense series Dilema Dania by Poetry in Motion, which nailed 10, and the inspired by real life Bidadari by Konxepz Productions, which secured eight. Meanwhile the top three most-nominated production houses include Mediacorp Eaglevision, Poetry in Motion and The Moving Visuals Co.

Pesta Perdana 2023 will kick off with Manja – Pesta Perdana 2023 Special at 7.00pm, followed by the Red Carpet Segment Pesta Perdana Glam 2023 at 7.30pm. Pesta Perdana 2023 live show will commence at 8.30pm. All three programmes will be available LIVE on 17 June on Suria, with simulcast on mewatch and Mediacorp Entertainment on YouTube.
