Let’s Celebrate 2023 with Mediacorp as your favourite countdown party returns to The Promontory at Marina Bay
Singapore, 28 November 2022 – Usher in the new year with an exciting slate of Let’s Celebrate 2023 activities as your favourite annual countdown party returns to The Promontory at Marina Bay! Audiences will be treated to performances by a star-studded line-up of local and international talents who will dazzle crowds on-ground after a two-year live audience hiatus.
Committed to providing local talents with platforms to showcase their artistic expertise, Mediacorp will be presenting a new combination of hosts for this year’s show. This includes 987’s Germaine Tan and Maya Davidov, alongside digital content creators J Jaikishan and Zhin Sadali, all of whom will be making their Let’s Celebrate hosting debuts this year. Joining them in hyping up the live audience are top talents such as Malaysian singer-songwriter Shila Amzah, who will be performing English and Mandarin numbers, and popular local artistes Richie Koh and Desmond Ng. Also keeping up the celebratory atmosphere will be homegrown rappers Yung Raja and Fariz Jabba; as well as ALYPH, the singer behind the TikTok trending song SWIPE.
Let’s Celebrate 2023 will also see the unique fusion of the culinary arts and music as vocalist Glenn Yong joins forces with the King of Culinary mentor Chefs Bob, Eric Teo and S.R. Bala, to present a novel drumming percussion performance using kitchenware. Belting out into the night will be the multi-faceted duo Ebi Shankara and Sherly Devonne Ng, while SPOP Wave! winner Gao Mei Gui and finalist Ridhwan Azman reunite to treat audiences to a rousing song performance. Additionally, veteran icon Rahimah Rahim, up-and-coming artiste Estelle Fly and Pradhana Vizha 2021 ‘Best Original Singer’ recipient Pavithra Nair, will team up to present a fresh cross-generational collaboration.
Partygoers can get their celebrations going hours before fireworks illuminate the Marina Bay skyline, starting from 7.00pm, with electronic music beats echoing through The Promontory. There will be opportunities to meet the performing artistes, participate in lucky draws and carnival games and indulge in delicious light bites and refreshments. There will also be a Bullet Time Photo Booth onsite, as well as at various pop-up locations across the island in the weeks leading up to 31 December, where one can create personalised new year’s greeting videos, to be shared with family and friends.
