Mediacorp and Linmon Media forge strategic partnership to pave the way for stronger cross-border collaboration in content production
Singapore, 5 December 2024 – Singapore’s leading content creator, Mediacorp and top Chinese production company, Linmon Media have entered a strategic partnership through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), signed today at the Asia TV Forum & Market 2024 in Singapore. The partnership marks the beginning of efforts by both parties to drive closer collaboration in production and facilitate exchanges of creative and production talent between China and Singapore.
This MOU is the latest in Mediacorp’s continued efforts to partner with some of the most prominent players in the global media industry such as Linmon Media, well known for popular Chinese titles Nothing but Thirty 《三十而已》, A Journey to Love《一念关山》and many others.
As part of the agreement, Mediacorp and Linmon Media will work together in several areas; namely:
- Exploring collaborations in the production, distribution and promotion of international content, leveraging each party’s strengths to maximise reach and impact across global platforms;
- Fostering collaboration between their respective creative and production teams to craft compelling stories tailored for an international audience;
- Exploring opportunities for filming in a number of regions including locations in Singapore and China, capitalising on each country’s unique landscapes, urban environments, and rich cultural heritage to enrich the quality of visual storytelling; and
- Leveraging the diversity of their respective pool of on-screen talents to promote cross-cultural representation and appeal to a wider spectrum of audiences.
