Mediacorp and The Pinkfong Company seal deal to bring well-loved Baby Shark shows and more to mewatch and okto on 5

The deal will see over 50 hours of fresh content from Pinkfong on meWATCH and okto on 5 for the first time.

Singapore, 7 December 2022 – Singapore’s national media network Mediacorp and global entertainment company The Pinkfong Company – best known for being the creators of the global phenomenon Pinkfong Baby Shark – have established a partnership involving the acquisition of kids programming for Mediacorp’s digital and TV platforms. Announced at a signing ceremony today at the Asia TV Forum & Market, the deal will see over 50 hours of fresh content from Pinkfong on mewatch and okto on 5 for the first time.

From 1 February 2023, young preschoolers can start their mornings with a daily dose of children’s content by The Pinkfong Company, from the globally beloved Pinkfong Baby Shark Remix to the newest hit series Bebefinn and Super Rescue Ready on Mediacorp’s free-to-air TV channel okto on 5. This dedicated Pinkfong timeslot will run from 8.30am to 9.00am from Mondays to Sundays.

Audiences of okto on 5 can also look forward to Pinkfong Wonderstar, an original animated series that tells the story of Pinkfong, who leaves the planet Staria and crash lands in Wonderville and befriends aspiring detective Hogi. Another thrilling title is Pinkfong and Baby Shark’s Space Adventure, a one-hour hit animation that follows Pinkfong and Baby Shark, who are joined by new friends from other planets as they explore outer space and search for missing star pieces to return home.

Over on mewatch, viewers can feast on a host of short-form video clips from 10 popular Pinkfong shows, such as Baby Shark Best Kids Songs which includes Baby Shark Dance, the world’s most-viewed YouTube video with more views than the entire human population on earth.    

The partnership will also comprise commercial collaborations between Mediacorp and The Pinkfong Company. More details will be disclosed in due course.
