Mediacorp expands slate of unscripted shows with new co-production What a Trip 2 (出去一下 2)

Singapore, 4 November 2025 – Mediacorp has inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with leading Taiwanese production house GrayScale Productions at the Taiwan Creative Content Fest (TCCF) 2025, marking its latest international collaboration. The partnership will see both companies teaming up for the first time to co-produce What a Trip 2 出去一下 2, the highly anticipated sequel to the hit reality travel series with high-stakes adventure, heart and rich cultural discovery.

Building on the success of the first season, which featured A-list guests such as Greg Hsu, Kwei Lun Mei and Ye Shu Hua from K-pop band (G)I-DLE, the new instalment promises to take audiences on an even more exhilarating ride with far-flung destinations filled with twists, challenges, and heartfelt moments.

Currently in development, What a Trip 2 出去一下 2 will feature a team of Taiwanese hosts and Singaporean co-hosts helming the adventure together, bringing fresh energy and a unique local lens to the series’ dynamic chemistry. Viewers can also look forward to another star-studded lineup of special guests, including some of the region’s biggest names, continuing the franchise’s reputation for pairing celebrity appeal with real, unscripted moments.

Season two is slated to begin production in 2026, with location scouting and casting now under way. Ahead of its release, Mediacorp will stream the first season of What a Trip on mewatch, giving Singapore audiences the chance to catch the original hit series and follow its journey from the beginning.

This partnership with GrayScale Productions marks another milestone in Mediacorp’s expanding slate of international collaborations, underscoring its commitment to developing original, premium content that resonates across borders. The project also reflects Mediacorp’s ambition to break new ground in the unscripted shows genre, blending cinematic flair with heartfelt human experiences.
