Mediacorp presents the inaugural Mediacorp Screen Awards to honour outstanding behind-the-scenes talent in the local entertainment industry
Singapore, 6 March 2025 – In celebration of the creative minds driving innovation and excellence in Singapore’s showbiz scene, Mediacorp is proud to launch the Mediacorp Screen Awards 2025, an initiative dedicated to behind-the-scenes maestros of the industry. Taking place on 29 August, this inaugural awards ceremony will honour the best talent within each of the Chinese, Malay and Indian production communities, while making for a unified celebration that honours the immense contributions of creative professionals.
Previously presented respectively at Mediacorp’s award ceremonies Star Awards, Pesta Perdana and Pradhana Vizha, this new combined celebration takes into account the transformation in storytelling and content creation, and is the latest milestone in the company’s commitment to spotlight the breadth of talent in Singapore’s creative ecosystem. This strategic consolidation also encourages networking among the like-minded media practitioners, and foster opportunities for dialogue, collaboration and knowledge sharing.
This closed-door industry event will see a total of 24 distinguished awards[1] presented across the following eight categories for each of the Chinese, Malay and Indian production communities:
- Best Direction (Drama)
- Best Direction (Entertainment)
- Best Cinematography (Drama)
- Best Cinematography (Entertainment)
- Best Screenplay (Drama)
- Best Research Writing (Entertainment)
- Best Editing (Drama)
- Best Editing (Entertainment)

Nominations for the Mediacorp Screen Awards 2025 will be open from today till 3 April, with final nominees announced by June, and winners honoured at the industry event on 29 August.
