Mediacorp is Singapore’s Home of the FIFA World Cup 2026™

Beyond the 104 matches and official ceremonies of the World Cup 2026, the national media network will also carry the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027™ and additional FIFA events between 2026 and 2028, bringing the world’s biggest football moments to audiences across its digital and FTA platforms.

Singapore, 5 February 2026 – Mediacorp today announced that it has secured the media rights in Singapore to the FIFA World Cup 2026™ and a comprehensive slate of FIFA tournaments from 2026 to 2028, firmly establishing the national media network as the Home of FIFA for football fans.

Under the agreement, Mediacorp will bring audiences all 104 matches and official ceremonies of the FIFA World Cup 2026™, all 64 matches and ceremonies of the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027™, as well as a range of additional FIFA events taking place between 2026 and 2028, including the FIFA U-17 World Cup, FIFA U-20 World Cup, the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, and the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.

This deal paves the way for fans to experience the most expansive FIFA World Cup™ ever from 2026, marking the first time the tournament will feature an unprecedented 48 participating teams. Co-hosted across three countries – Canada, Mexico and the United States – between 11 June to 19 July 2026, the competition marks a historic departure from precedent: the tournament duration has been extended to 39 days, with the total number of matches increasing significantly from 64 to 104. Every match and ceremony of this landmark event will be available to subscribers on its digital platform mewatch and carriage partner platforms.

In addition to its subscription offerings, Mediacorp will also substantially expand free coverage of the matches on mewatch and Channel 5, ensuring that more Singaporeans can enjoy the world’s biggest football event together. This expansion will see the number of free-to-air matches increasing from 9 in 2022 to 28 this year, comprising the Opening Match, 23 Group Stage matches, 2 Semi-Finals, the Third-Place Playoff and the Final.

Beyond live matches, audiences can also continue to enjoy a curation of football’s greatest moments via FIFA+, a free channel on mewatch. Featuring 24/7 programming, the channel showcases full-length classic matches, curated highlights, vignettes and “Best of” compilations, as well as a selection of FIFA+ titles and documentaries, allowing fans to relive iconic moments from football history while discovering new stories from the global game.
