Ms Eng Chin Chin, Mr Sng Ren Yeong and Mr Suhaimi Salleh Appointed to Mediacorp’s Board of Directors

Singapore, 20 November 2023 – Mediacorp announced today the appointment of Ms Eng Chin Chin, Mr Sng Ren Yeong and Mr Suhaimi Salleh to its Board of Directors, effective 17 November 2023.

A former partner of KPMG Singapore, Ms Eng currently serves on the Board of Olam Agri Holdings Limited, a subsidiary of food and agri-business Olam Group Limited, and is the Chairperson of its Audit & Compliance Committee and a member of its Risk & Market Compliance Committee. She is also the Chairperson of the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants Ethics Committee. Ms Eng has deep expertise in the areas of risk management, compliance and quality controls, and brings with her a wealth of experience in audit, governance and internal control reviews across private and public companies.

Mr Sng is the Managing Director of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Strategy & Solutions at Temasek and is responsible for the global investor’s AI venture building and investments. He also sits on the Boards of a number of Temasek-incubated companies including minden.ai, the technology venture behind yuu Rewards Club in Singapore, spearheaded by Mr Sng as then-CEO to deepen the engagements between consumers and brands with the use of machine learning and AI. His extensive experience further includes portfolio value creation across various sectors.

Mr Suhaimi is the Founder and CEO of the SSA Group, a group of companies that provides training and human capital development solutions, management consulting services and technology solutions. He is currently the Immediate Past President of PMBM Scholarship Fund Board (LBKM). He also served on the Board of Governors of Temasek Polytechnic, Ngee Ann Polytechnic Council, Public Transport Council as well as the Charity Council. He also previously served on the Board of SG Enable and was the Chairman of its Audit Committee.

Former Board Directors Mr Yap Chee Keong and Mr Zainul Abidin Rasheed stepped down at Mediacorp’s Annual General Meeting on 20 September.

Their views, comments and recommendations have enabled the Board to make more strategic and effective decisions.
