Pesta Perdana 2025: Celebrating timeless moments in local Malay entertainment & Suria’s 25-year legacy
Into its 18th edition, Pesta Perdana 2025 will showcase the presentation of 25 awards, including the “Most Popular Male Personality” and “Most Popular Female Personality” accolades. Public voting for these two awards is now open and will close on 24 May at 10.00pm via mediacorp.sg/pestaperdana.
Singapore, 7 May 2025 – The stage is set for a spectacular night of artistry, culture and legacy as Mediacorp’s local Malay entertainment awards show Pesta Perdana returns for its 18th edition on 24 May. This year’s show, themed “A Moment for a Lifetime”, holds added significance as it also commemorates 25 years of Suria, Singapore’s Malay-language channel renowned for its rich storytelling and creative excellence. To mark this occasion, the event will be graced by Guest-of-Honour President Tharman Shanmugaratnam along with Ms Jane Ittogi.
Audiences can look forward to the following highlights:
Pesta Perdana Glam 2025
The celebrations will begin with Pesta Perdana Glam 2025, a red-carpet segment hosted by RIA 897 DJs Azura Goh and Fadli Kamsani, alongside beloved personalities Fikah Zainal and Zhin Sadali. Audiences will be treated to nostalgic throwbacks of Suria’s most treasured moments, lively interviews, and stunning entrances as stars arrive in style for an evening of recognition and reflection.
Pesta Perdana 2025
Hosted by crowd favourites Era Farida, Farhana M Noor, Fauzie Laily and Najip Ali, the main show will present 25 awards across performance, programme and popularity categories. A key highlight of the night will be the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award, set to honour a veteran whose work has contributed to the local Malay entertainment scene.
Fans can make their voices heard in the highly anticipated “Most Popular Male Personality” and “Most Popular Female Personality” awards, with public voting now open till 24 May, 10.00pm via mediacorp.sg/pestaperdana. For the full list of nominees, please refer to Annex A.
Honouring Suria’s Legacy
Beyond the awards, Pesta Perdana 2025 will celebrate Suria’s 25-year journey. To mark this milestone, this year’s trophy has been redesigned as a stunning diamond-cut crystal ball, symbolising Suria’s brilliance and enduring legacy. A special video segment will take audiences on a nostalgic journey through iconic moments in Suria’s history, highlighting its impact on local entertainment and its role in connecting generations. Familiar faces will also make a return, including hosts from the beloved children’s programme Krayon, actors from the drama Anak Metropolitan, and stars from the romantic comedy Cinta Bollywood — many of whom launched their careers on Suria.
Star-Studded Performances
To elevate the energy, the evening will feature a reimagining of Malam Gemilang by Projek Lagu winner Yanto Sani, alongside winners from Anugerah and SG Mania. Local rapper ALYPH will bring fresh renditions of his hits Saham Naik, Mimpi, and Swipe, enhanced with immersive visuals and bold arrangements.
Fans can also look forward to performances by Singapore icons Taufik Batisah, Hady Mirza, and Sezairi, who will each perform their signature songs before uniting for a stirring finale celebrating dreams and resilience. But that’s not all – the celebration will also feature captivating performances by renowned Malaysian vocalists Anuar Zain and Nadeera Zaini, adding cross-border appeal to the night.

The Pesta Perdana Glam segment will be available live from 7.00pm to 8.00pm on mewatch, Mediacorp Entertainment on YouTube, Mediacorp Untukmu on TikTok, and Suria on 24 May. The main live show will follow from 8.30pm to 11.00pm on mewatch, Mediacorp Entertainment on YouTube, and Suria. Public tickets can also be redeemed for free, while stocks last, via the merewards app or at mediacorp.com.sg.
