President’s Star Charity 2022 – ‘Small Actions, Big Changes’
Join us at this year’s President’s Star Charity (PSC), Mediacorp’s flagship annual fundraiser under the President’s Challenge, to support a wide range of beneficiaries as the show presents dazzling performances by famed local and international stars. Themed ‘Small Actions, Big Changes’, PSC 2022, taking place on 30 October, aims to drive home the message that every small action can bring about big changes in the lives of those in need.

Singapore, 3 October 2022 – Join us at this year’s President’s Star Charity (PSC), Mediacorp’s flagship annual fundraiser under the President’s Challenge, to support a wide range of beneficiaries as the show presents dazzling performances by famed local and international stars. Themed ‘Small Actions, Big Changes’, PSC 2022, taking place on 30 October, aims to drive home the message that every small action can bring about big changes in the lives of those in need.
Hosted by popular personalities Kym Ng and Steven Chia, PSC 2022 will feature stellar musical performances by top talents including Taiwanese popstar Eric Chou, Malaysian singer-songwriter Aina Abdul and Pradhana Vizha 2021 Best Original Singer recipient Pavithra. Audiences can also look forward to an inspiring collaboration between students with mild intellectual disability from APSN Delta Senior School Circus Arts Group, D’Circulus, and Mediacorp artistes Zoe Tay, Elvin Ng and Richie Koh, as they take to the stage for an entertaining juggling act. Meanwhile, Taufik Batisah and Sylvester Sim, winner and runner-up of Singapore Idol 2004 respectively, will showcase their vocal prowess in a nostalgic reunion on three songs Me & Mrs. Jones, When I Look Into Your Eyes and I Dream.
PSC 2022 will also present a medley song comprising of classic Chinese, Malay and Tamil tunes by veteran singers Liu Ling Ling, Rahimah Rahim and L. Vijayandran, who will be accompanied by an instrumental performance by the West Winds Symphonic Band. SPOP! Wave winner and finalists Gao Mei Gui, Ridhwan Azman and Sherly Devonne Ng will also perform a rousing cover of Fight Song, together with students with special needs from the Starlight Music-Making Programme by Voices of Singapore. Popular artistes Azura Goh, Denise Camilia Tan, Fadli Kamsani, Gunalan Morgan, Jay Nesh Isuran, Ke Le, Tay Ying and Tyler Ten, will put on a specially choreographed bungee dance performance. Audiences may donate to PSC 2022 in any preferred amount up till 6 November. This can be done by scanning via their bank apps a PayNow QR code that will be available on mediacorp.sg/psc2022 and flashed on-screen during the show, or through giving.sg/psc2022.
Sheng Siong will also be partnering Mediacorp to drive public awareness on the PayNow QR code donation platform. Public can keep a lookout for PSC 2022 banners at 34 Sheng Siong outlets across the island and on digital channels including their corporate and e-commerce websites, social media platforms as well as the SS Connect mobile application.
President Halimah Yacob said: “The annual President’s Star Charity is a key fundraising effort for the President’s Challenge (PC), through which we hope to rally one and all to support vulnerable groups in Singapore. The theme of PC 2022 is ‘Supporting Lower-Income Families’. As with your support in previous years, I hope you will continue to donate generously and join me in extending a helping hand to aid these households in overcoming the challenges they face.”

All proceeds from PSC 2022 will aid the 82 benefitting organisations backed by the President’s Challenge. These include Club HEAL (Hope, Empowerment, Acceptance & Love), a charity that supports the societal reintegration of individuals with mental health issues; Very Special Arts, which is dedicated to offering opportunities for persons with disabilities to participate in the arts; and TOUCH Community Services, a multi-service organisation spanning a spectrum of communal causes.
