ABOUT PRADHANA VIZHA

Pradhana Vizha honours and celebrates Singapore’s Indian Entertainment Industry. This celebratory award ceremony brings together everyone from the industry who have tirelessly contributed to the growth of the Indian entertainment industry, on-screen and off-screen.

A BRIEF HISTORY

1996 – the year it all began. Prime 12 Awards was the first joint awards show for the Malay and Tamil audience.
1999 – saw the inaugural Pradhana Vizha for the Indian audience. This year, there were individual award shows to commemorate the contributors to both Malay and Indian entertainment industry.
There were approximately 11 awards given out that year. Results were determined by a panel of judges.

Since then, the awards show has evolved but has remained steady in its mission to recognise and celebrate the local Indian entertainment industry.

THEN AND NOW

From having 11 awards when we first began, to having 30 awards in 2024, Pradhana Vizha has come a long way in the recognition of the industry.

Pradhana Vizha has over the years, introduced multiple recurring awards such as the Best Radio Jockey, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Host as well as new awards such as the Best Digital Short-Form Content

It has also recognised the strength of evolving landscapes by awarding special awards such as Special Digital Recognition Award in 2022.
